USCIS Extends Flexibility to Respond to Certain Notices as the Pandemic Continues
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) further extends flexibility regarding delays in responding to the following documents if the date of issue listed on the request, notice, or decision is between March 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, inclusive.
- Requests for Evidence (RFEs)
- Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs)
- Notices of Intent to Revoke (NOIR)
- Notices of Intent to Rescind and Notices of Intent to Terminate (NOIT) regional investment centers
- Filing date requirements for Notice of Appeal or Motion (Form I-290B)
- Continuations to Request Evidence (Form N-14)
- Filing date requirements for Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings (Form N-336)
- Motions to Reopen an N-400, Receipt of Derogatory Information After Grant
USCIS will consider all responses as timely filed provided they are submitted within 60 calendar days after the deadline listed in the documents listed above.
