Biometric enrollment comprising fingerprints and facial image scans will be taken along with the visa applications at the VFS India Application Centers in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
Applicants availing the electronic visas however, will be required to enroll their biometrics with the immigration authorities at the select ports of entry upon landing.
Process to Enroll Biometrics in South Africa
Upon submitting the application form online, the applicants may schedule an appointment with the VFS India Application Center to enroll their biometrics and submit their applications.
Upon completion of the biometrics enrollment, the applicant will be exempt from this process for 59 months.
Please note that the High Commission of India in Pretoria or the Consulate General of India reserves the right to demand a repeat enrollment on a case-to case basis as and when required by them.
