Indian Visa Services Suspended Due to Diplomatic Tensions Between India and Canada
The Indian High Commission has suspended visa processing services in Canada, escalating a diplomatic dispute between the two countries. The suspension affects all Canadian citizens who need to apply for new Indian visas even if they are located outside Canada and could apply as third-country nationals in their host country.
Canadian nationals who hold valid Indian visas or are registered as Overseas Citizens of India (OCI Cardholders) are not impacted by this suspension and can travel to India. Canadians who are presently in India can also apply to renew their visas as per the rules governing their visa categories.
