Mia Giacomazzi serves as Of Counsel at LawQuest, where she brings extensive experience in employment-based immigration with a particular focus on PERM labor certifications. She handles a wide range of business and family immigration matters, including H-1B, H-2A, H-2B, and TN visas.
Prior to her current work in private practice, Mia served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, where she prosecuted immigration-related crimes and civil rights violations, including labor trafficking, human trafficking, and hate crimes. She began her legal career clerking for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California and for the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Mia holds a B.A. in International Relations, cum laude, from the University of San Diego, and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law.
An active leader in the legal community, Mia has served on the boards of the Federal Bar Association of the San Joaquin Valley, the State Bar of California’s Federal Courts Committee, Fresno County Women Lawyers, and Fresno County Young Lawyers. Currently, she is active in AILA RDC-EMEA and the paradiGM Community, and she is a frequent speaker at international conferences on immigration law and global mobility.
