The eVisa is an electronic travel authorization that allows foreign nationals to enter India for various purposes, including tourism, business, medical treatment, or attending conferences. It was introduced to simplify the visa application process, enabling certain country nationals to apply online without needing to visit an Indian Consulate or Embassy. Once approved, the eVisa is electronically linked to the traveler’s passport, allowing entry into India through designated airports and seaports within the validity of the visa.
