Ranjanais an experienced attorney with a broad legal background encompassing both litigation and corporate commercial law. She is a persuasive individual with strong negotiating skills. This, along with the ability to quickly assess all issues affecting clients, helps her render prompt and timely advice so as to effectively protect their interests.
With over 23 years of experience in civil litigation, international business and corporate commercial law, her confidence comes primarily from ably handling different forms of transactional and litigation work. She has abundant knowledge of the substantive laws of India, as also the procedural aspects of the District Courts, Appellate Tribunals, Consumer Fora, State Commission and the High Court in Karnataka.
She has worked as a Partner in Sreevatsa Associates, a full service commercial law firm of repute, acknowledged for its litigation experience, provides litigation services to a wide spectrum of clients ranging from small, start up companies to a substantial number of larger corporations.
For over four years she has worked in Muscat as the Legal Advisor of the OMZEST Group which is one of the Sultanate of Oman’s premier and most diversified groups. The Chairman of the OMZEST Group is H.E. Dr. Omar Bin Abdul Muniem Al Zawawi, who in addition to being a leading entrepreneur, is the Special Advisor for External Liaison to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. OMZEST comprises over 70 wholly owned and associate companies, with activities in petrochemicals, chemical manufacturing, construction and contracting, services, trading and agency representation, training and education.
Ranjana is a member of the International Federation of Women Lawyers. In the past she has also taught Indian Laws at Wigan and Leigh College, Bangalore, employing an interactive teaching style that encourages students’ participation. She has addressed various Women’s Organization and NGOs on diverse legal topics and issues, more particularly, on Women’s Rights and Empowerment. She served as a Treasurer and Secretary of the Lioness Club of Someshwarapura, Bangalore, an organization engaged in philanthropic activity.
