Widow Of Will’s Executor Cannot Register Trust

The Bombay High Court has knocked the charity commissioner's office for permitting the widow of a will's executor to register a public trust. Observing that the widow had no right to do so, the court set aside a 1999 order and directed the Assistant Charity Commissioner (ACC) to carry out a clean inquiry and then pass an order.

The use of a registered trademark would constitute an infringement if it points to a link in the course of trade between the person and his goods. Therefore, a registered trademark is infringed by a person if he uses it in such a way as to render the use of the mark probable to be accepted as a trademark.

On March 19, 2012, the Hong Kong Department of Justice announced that the Indian Government has informed them that China (including Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China) will be shortly notified in the Indian Official Gazette as a convention country to India with regard to the New York Convention (Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards).

Foreign award in India - if an award origins from one of the territories as the Central Government deems that reciprocal provisions have been made in the Official Gazette that declare the territories to which the New York Convention and Geneva Convention applies. These are called ‘Convention Countries’.
